At the request of some of our readers, discerning and literate bunch that you all are, commencing with the May 1, 2008 issue we began archiving the March Report in a form suitable for presentation. Be advised that some of the links to external sites on the archived pages will have gone dead. Morte. Kaputski. That being the case, archives will be deleted, or replaced with an image of the headline area only, as the page itself becomes useless (assuming that it wasn't to begin with, which may be presumptuous in and of itself).

Secret Of A Healthy Old Age May Lie In Right Balance Of Proteins

Mark Henderson -- London Times (UK)

Scientists have discovered that manipulating the amount of a protein building-block eaten by fruit flies can extend their lifespans, without having side-effects on other physiological functions such as fertility. Although the effect has yet to be identified in mammals such as mice, it promises to shed light on the biological pathways involved in human ageing. The hope is that it could eventually prove possible to manipulate these with drugs to allow people to live longer. ...

Certifi-Gate! America In Captivity

British Cop Who Spent His Life Investigating Organized Crime Now Focusing On Obama

Ed Pilkington -- Guardian (UK)

Neil Sankey's journey from having worked in some of the most elite police units in Britain to taking part in a movement dedicated to the investigation of Brack Obama may seem bizarre. Sankey contends that his police experience in England now informs his fight against Obama. "It's quite obvious to me -- America is heading towards a socialized state just as has happened in Europe. Socialized medicine, everyone on the dole, and when everything collapses you tip the scales into Marxism." He also believes his training in Scotland Yard is now reaping benefits for the "Birthers." The same techniques he used to analyse the IRA's associations he is now applying to Obama. Most recently, he carried out an exhaustive search of databases that he claims threw up 140 different identification numbers and addresses for "Barack Obama." While this article is written from the perspective of a debunker, it is worth reading for Sankey's perspective, and the facts he sets out. ...

We Stand At The Precipice, With A Usurper In The Oval Office

Lynn Stuter -- News With Views

We stand at the precipice of the totalitarian state with a man occupying the White House, usurping the Oval Office, who isn't an American; who has, by his own actions and words, declared himself a Marxist. The United States Congress, assembled, has refused to remove this usurper sitting illegitimately as our president. The United States Supreme Court, and lower courts, have refused to address the growing body of evidence that Barack Hussein Obama is not our legitimate president; going so far as to make the ludicrous claim that they cannot overturn the vote of millions, in essence saying that popular vote (if it could even be claimed to be uncorrupted) is above the law. ...

Michelle Contradicts Obama Nativity Story

Aaron Klein -- World Net Daily

In little noticed remarks, Michelle Obama stated at a public event that her husband's mother, Ann Dunham, was "very young and very single" when she gave birth to the future U.S. "president." Her comments further undermine the official story as told by Barack Obama: that Dunham was married to his father, Barack Obama Sr., at the time of birth. The official story claims Dunham and Obama, Sr. were married Feb. 2, 1961. The pair separated two years later and they divorced in 1964. Obama's father returned to Kenya and saw his son only once more before dying in an automobile accident in 1982. In actuality, it isn't clear Obama's parents were married, since official records have never been produced showing a legal ceremony took place. No wedding certificate or photograph of a ceremony for Dunham and Obama Sr. has ever been found or published. ...

 Killer Carp:
In Hiding Or Just A Big Fish Tale?

Tina Lam -- Detroit Free Press

As cleanup and Asian carp-searching efforts continued after a massive poisoning in the Chicago Sanitary and Ship Canal on Thursday, officials said they had found a lone Asian carp among the 200,000 pounds of dead fish. The bighead carp, nearly 22 inches long, was found just above the lock and dam at Lockport. That's one of many spots where DNA testing since July has shown the presence of carp. The find is important because it established that the DNA testing is correct. That same testing has shown that there are carp just below an even more critical lock, the O'Brien lock, 7 miles from Lake Michigan. A biologist who tested the poison on carp said Thursday that the fact that more carp weren't showing up dead in the canal wasn't surprising, since his tests showed they would sink to the bottom. ...

The Survey Says:
Isolationist Sentiment Surges To Four-Decade High

Pew Research Center

In the midst of two wars abroad and a sour economy at home, there has been a sharp rise in isolationist sentiment among the public. For the first time in more than 40 years of polling, a plurality (49%) says the United States should "mind its own business internationally" and let other countries get along the best they can on their own. The quadrennial survey of foreign policy attitudes, conducted among the general public and members of the Council on Foreign Relations, finds broad recognition of China's growing power. But the public takes a less benign view of China's rise than do the members of the Council on Foreign Relations. ...

New details have emerged in records and interviews to help paint a more complete portrait of Maurice Clemmons' plan, which began to take form the night before the shootings. On Saturday night, Clemmons confided to two friends -- brothers Eddie and Douglas Davis - and his own half-bother, Rickey Hinton -- his violent plans for law enforcement, records show. "Clemmons showed them two handguns and told them he was going to shoot police," Pierce County Prosecutor Mark Lindquist wrote in a probable cause affidavit released Tuesday.  Pioneering 'Monk' Ends Its Run Friday

Scott Collins -- Los Angeles Times

On tonight's series finale of USA's "Monk," the title detective played by Tony Shalhoub finally learns the truth about his wife's murder. After trying to overcome his obsessive-compulsive disorder and endless phobias through eight seasons and 125 episodes -- factoids Adrian Monk himself would likely cherish -- the final chapter means a resolution, if not a triumph, for the comically tormented hero.  Freeman Nails The Cadence And The Charm Of Mandela

BILL KELLER -- New York Times

Morgan Freeman's performance in the film "Invictus," directed by Clint Eastwood, is uncanny: less an impersonation than an incarnation. He gets the rumble and halting rhythm of Mr. Mandela's speech, the erect posture and stiff gait. There is a striking physical resemblance, enhanced by the fact that Mr. Freeman, 72, is just a few years younger than Mr. Mandela was in the period the film covers. More important, Mr. Freeman conveys the manipulative charm, the serene confidence, the force of purpose, the hint of mischief and the lonely regret that made Mr. Mandela one of the most fascinating political figures of his time. This is not, as the film's screenwriter, Anthony Peckham, put it, "Rich Little doing Mandela in Vegas." ...

March Report Podcast

News and Opinion Presented by Robert Jay March

52:36. Recorded
Friday, October 30, 2009
TOPICS DISCUSSED:

Is Glenn Beck a Hero, a Coward ... or BOTH?

Indisputibly, Glenn Beck has provided heroic service to this country on his radio and cable-tv program by exposing the unconstitutional socialization of the United States by the Obama Administration. That said, it appears that he has caved to pressure regarding Certifi-Gate, the occupation of the White House by a constitutionally ineligible electee. Robert Jay March thoroughly analyzes this, exposing the pressures that he and other on-air talent have had placed them by corporate honchos who care more about their profits than our country.
Fox News was set up by Roger Ailes, a former president of CNBC and the late, lamented America's Talking Network, the pre-cursor of MSNBC. March discusses the hidden motivation behind Ailes' building of Fox News into the only television news operation that is not a press-release service for the Obama Administration, not to mention crushing MSNBC and CNN. Do you think the execs at GE are wishing they could turn the clock back?
What does the late, unlamented Hernando Cortés have to do with MarchReport.com? Robert Jay March explains the two-month gap since his last podcast, as he worked behind the scenes to make MarchReport.com bigger and better, while burning all his other boats behind him. March describes how he came to be disabled and home-bound eight years ago, yet continued to work 100 to 120 hours a week running two businesses throughout it all.
Manuel Zelaya, the deposed President of Honduras, who was legally removed from office in accordance with the Honduran Constitution, is being returned to office as a result of pressure from the Obama administration. Hmmm ... they pressured the Honduran Government to restore a President who had violated their Constitution and been legally removed from office. Wonder why? March thinks he knows.

Obama's Game Plan: Roadmap To Enforced Socialism

James Simpson -- American Thinker

Richard Cloward and Frances Fox Piven were two lifelong members of Democratic Socialists of America who taught sociology at Columbia University (Piven later went on to City University of New York). In a May 1966 Nation magazine article titled "The Weight of the Poor," they outlined their strategy, proposing to use grassroots radical organizations to push ever more strident demands for public services at all levels of government. The result, they predicted, would be "a profound financial and political crisis" that would unleash "powerful forces ... for major economic reform at the national level." It is that strategy we see unfolding before us, led by Barack Obama. ...

Gates: 'No Deadlines' On Troop Withdrawal

Karen DeYoung -- Washington Post

The withdrawal of U.S. forces from Afghanistan, scheduled to begin in July 2011, will "probably" take two or three years, Defense Secretary Robert M. Gates said Thursday, although he added that "there are no deadlines in terms of when our troops will all be out." The Pentagon, meanwhile, quietly acknowledged slippage on the front end of the 30,000-troop deployment that Barack Obama authorized for the first half of 2010. "They are not all going to be there in six months," a senior military official said. The current thinking, the official said, is that the Pentagon will be able to push about 20,000 to 25,000 troops into the country by late summer, but that the final brigade -- about 5,000 troops -- will probably not arrive until early fall. ...

Faced with the need to investigate the gate crashing at the White House during the recent state dinner for India, he chose to embarrass the Administration by subpoenaing White House Social Secretary Desiree Rogers rather than quietly negotiating for her appearance. That Thompson's action was a deliberate slap in Obama's face is obvious (even though the media has missed it). Since when does a liberal Democratic committee chairman embarrass a liberal Democratic president by forcing a liberal Democratic Social Secretary (from Chicago no less) to resist a subpoena to appear at a hearing? Phil Jones, a professor and director of the Climatic Research Unit at the University of East Anglia in Norwich, will temporarily relinquish his post, the U.K. school said yesterday in a statement. Private e-mails from Jones were among thousands of correspondences between scientists debating climate change that were posted here last month. ...

"Why Isn't This A Bigger Story?"

Lorne Gunter -- National Post

The American and British scientists who control much of the UN's climate reporting through the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC)have been caught manipulating the temperature records to make the 20th century appear warmer than it was (and preceding centuries cooler), leaving an exaggerated impression about how unique and dangerous our current climate is. They were also shown doing their level best to control the peer-review process at major scientific journals so those who disagreed with them were silenced. ...

Problem With Climate Change Data

FOX News

Video Brit Hume, Fox News: "There has been no apparent increase in global temperatures over the past 11 years, and the computerized climate models failed to predict this and the global warming alarmists can't explain it. The obvious conclusion would be that there's something wrong with the computer models. Now it has come out that the original raw data used to create these models has been destroyed." ...

The Economics Of Climate Change

Wall Street Journal

The e-mails and documents leaked last week from some of the world's leading climatologists offer a rich trove of evidence that scientists were massaging the data and corrupting the scientific process to support their own preconceptions. But they also offer the beginnings of an explanation for why. In the words of another famous leaker, follow the money. To keep the money flowing, climate scientists needed to keep the fear going. Anything that called into question their most dire predictions of climate catastrophe would put funding at risk. On the other hand, the bigger the climate calamity, the more willing governments became to fund global-warming research. Keeping the dissenters on the outside was not simply a matter of academic jealousy. It was in many cases a question of professional survival. ...

'Hackers' Reveal Corrupt Science At Climate Research Unit

Matthew Davidson -- Department of Nuclear Science and Engineering, MIT

Many corporate media outlets have refused to report on this story. Indeed much of the biased reporting recently put forth as journalism by CNN, The New York Times, etc. has presented anthropogenic global warming as a foregone conclusion. In reality, there is a great deal of disagreement among scientists on the subject. These communications reveal a trail of manipulation and concealment of data that would not support the theory of anthropogenic global warming. This is shameful and cannot be ignored by the scientific community. This corruption must be investigated and the individuals responsible must be tried for any illegal acts committed. ...

We're Toast.
Get Over It.

Spencer Reiss -- Wired

It's worth keeping in mind that the planet we inhabit has always been fundamentally out of control, driven by fantastically complex, chaotic systems we scarcely understand. With or without our help, dear Mother Earth is capable of producing circumstances highly inimical to human life. Pick whatever black swan you like-how about the next asteroid or an avian superplague or that Yellowstone volcano? Climate change could end up being just a side note. ...

"The E-Mails Do Not Read Well"
Gee ... Y'Think?

Dan Vergano -- USA Today

The controversy gained new momentum last week as Inhofe and others called for investigations and the University of East Anglia announced an "independent review." George Monbiot, a well-known environmentalist who writes for the United Kingdom's newspaper The Guardian, called for re-examination of all the data discussed in the stolen notes and said Jones "should now resign" because of a message saying he would keep climate skeptics' papers out of the benchmark 2007 Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) report. Jones vows in the e-mail to "keep them out somehow - even if we have to redefine what the peer-review literature is!" Says Monbiot: "His message looks awful." ...

'Global Warming Bogus, Ice Age Approaching'

Russia Today

Video Copenhagen is preparing to host experts and world leaders next month to discuss how to prevent climate change and global warming. Hacked E-Mails Expose Global Warming Fraudsters

Andrew C. Revkin -- New York Times

Hundreds of private e-mail messages and documents hacked from a computer server at a British university are causing a stir among global warming skeptics, who say they show that climate scientists conspired to overstate the case for a human influence on climate change. Some skeptics asserted Friday that the correspondence revealed an effort to withhold scientific information. "This is not a smoking gun; this is a mushroom cloud," said Patrick J. Michaels, a climatologist who has long faulted evidence pointing to human-driven warming and is criticized in the documents. ...

The CRU has told the BBC that the files were obtained by a computer hacker 3-4 days ago. This archive includes unreleased global temperature analysis computer source code that has been the subject of Freedom of Information Act requests. "IPCC Elite Embarrassingly, If Not Criminally, Compromised"

Rebecca Terrell And Ed Hiserodt -- New American Magazine

Among the IPCC elite embarrassingly, if not criminally, compromised is Phillip D. Jones, a Ph.D. climatologist at the University of East Anglia whose work figured prominently in the IPCC Third Assessment Report of 2001. Jones also contributed significantly to the IPCC Fourth Assessment Report in 2007 (AR4), but he failed to follow through when skeptical investigators asked to review raw data associated with that report. They announced intent to use UK Freedom of Information laws to obtain the data, so Jones sent the following e-mail to one of his collaborators: "Mike, Can you delete any e-mails you may have had with Keith re AR4? Keith will do likewise.... Can you also e-mail Gene and get him to do the same?... Will be getting Caspar to do likewise." The Mike in this message is Michael Mann, professor of meteorology at Pennsylvania State University, whose influential "hockey stick" graph warning of pending global warming eco-catastrophe was found by a congressional investigation to be fraudulent. In another correspondence about AR4 labeled HIGHLY CONFIDENTIAL, Jones contacted Mann regarding research critical of their global warming platform. "I can't see either of these papers being in the next IPCC report," wrote Jones. "Kevin and I will keep them out somehow -- even if we have to redefine what the peer-review literature is!" ...

How Freeing Seven of Nine, Tertiary Adjunct of Unimatrix Zero-One From The Borg Collective Provoked a Constitutional Crisis On 21st-Century Earth
... or ...
Bait for the "Birther"-debunkers

by Robert Jay March

Actress Jeri Ryan, best known to the American public as "Seven of Nine" on the series "Star Trek -- Voyager," is responsible for the whole mess. No, I haven't taken leave of my senses ... not yet anyway ... as the following narrative will show.

In 1990, then-Jeri Lynn Zimmermann met future political candidate Jack Ryan, married him on June 15, 1991, and ultimately divorced him on August 27, 1999. When Jack Ryan was running for the Senate on the Republican ticket in 2004, WLS-TV, the Chicago ABC affiliate, sought to have his divorce and child custody records released. In print, if it bleeds it leads; on TV, if it skewers, it attracts viewers.

When the custody records were released after a protracted court battle, it was revealed that Jack Ryan had repeatedly asked, begged and cajoled Jeri to perform sexual acts in public in various sex clubs. Ms. Ryan described one of these clubs as "a bizarre club with cages, whips and other apparatus hanging from the ceiling." Obviously not a "family values" kind of guy, Jack Ryan's poll numbers were plummeting faster than an ejected warp-core falling into a black hole. He was force to withdraw from the race, and was replaced by Alan Keyes, who lost to ... wait for it ... Barack Obama!

Barack Obama's very first act as "President" made it illegal to release any of his records. "EXECUTIVE ORDER 13489 -- PRESIDENTIAL RECORDS," signed by Barack Obama on January 21, 2009, begins as follows: "By the authority vested in me as President by the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America ..."

As I have said over and over and over again, if there is nothing to hide, why hide it? Yet, the very first thing he did as alleged-President was sign an Executive Order that locks all of his records -- including his personal ones -- away from public view. This leaves us in a legal mobius loop: If his personal records prove that he is ineligible, then he is not President, and the Executive Order is null and void, but in order to prove that he is ineligible, one must have access to his personal records. Quoting the eminent philosopher Homer Simpson,
   "DOH!"

It is interesting to note that, in the private sector, Obama was employed by the law firm of Miner, Barnhill & Galland, which describes itself as "one of the best-known and most experienced firms in the country in large-scale voting rights cases." As such, they have done extensive Constitutional research, such as that cited in a case wherein Obama was one of the lawyers representing ACORN, ACORN V. EDGAR.

It is rumored that Miner, Barnhill & Galland also researched ways and means of getting around Article II Section 1 of the Constitution ("No person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President...") Now, read that Executive Order again.

If only Jeri had let her hubby get his freak on, the nation may have been spared all of this; but nooooooo, she left us with a typically-Republican sex scandal (two straight people and no sex) which ultimately led to a Constitutionally unqualified man being elected President.

By now, many of you are asking yourselves why I even bothered to write about this. Simple: half the country believes that Obama is not legally qualified, and the other half simply has not looked at the evidence, assuming we're all nuts, racists, or both.

Those people won't be able to resist reading this article: It embarrasses Republicans, it involves science fiction, has sex, intrigue, and a gorgeous woman whose talents let her rise to the top (or vice versa). They'll pass this around as evidence that the "Birthers" have finally lost it; and, a very few of them will be intrigued enough to actually check the facts, just as I did when I did not believe it, and realize that we're right.

Resistance is futile. It just takes a while.

The Book Of Genesis, Illustrated By R. Crumb

Henry Allen -- Washington Post

The words come from both the King James Version and a recent translation by Robert Alter. The pictures come from Crumb's pen, the same sort of art pen that he's done all of his life's work with -- all of it, no pastels, watercolors, pencil, just this pen scritching away for half a century in a fury of crosshatching and black-and-white starkness. God said . . . R. Crumb? Here they are, together at last on the first page of this book, Crumb drawing God as if he were a madman inventor, beard and hair down to his ankles, and the whites of his eyes showing over the tops of his irises and his hairy, thick-fingered hands grasping what looks like a combination of a circle saw and a black hole, "without form, and void."

Rants & Raves from Our Readers

A reader who wishes to remain anonymous sent in this criticism:

Mr. March, You linked the video of Hillary Clinton having what has been referred to as an 'outburst' on your site, yet, you did not explain the context. You omitted the truth and presented the situation as another crazy Clinton moment. You not only misportrayed the situation, you lost an opportunity to share/address the plight of women who have no rights in their country. I have been a long time reader of your March Report and have shared the Report with many people. I wrote to you addressing the Clinton video and have seen no retraction or explanation. I won't be referring anyone to this page anymore. My belief and trust that you maintain objectivity and research all sides has been permanently altered recently. Consevative or not, you have always seemed to work at being fair and true to journalism. I now am seeing you differently.

Robert Jay March Responds:

This reader has mischaracterized the report. In fact, we went out of way to add clarity to the situation. The copy proved by WMAQ-TV, the televsion station which provide the report through one of our syndicators, said "A Congolese university student seems to presume that Bill Clinton's opinion is more important than the current Secretary of State's." In order to portray the situation accurately, we rewrote the copy to read as follows (emphasis added): "As a result of a translator's error, a Congolese university student appears to presume that Bill Clinton's opinion is more important than the current Secretary of State's. Hillary explodes, and hilarity ensues. Oh, those wacky, wacky Clintons." That was all the information that was available on August 11, 2009, when we ran the story. Witty retort aside, we went out of our way to clarify the report. Further details from the State Department and the White House did not become available until the following day.

Another reader, who wish to be referred to by the nom de plume "Needles," has an unusual take on the Certifi-Gate crisis:

The birthers need to step back and consider the consequences of their actions. If Mr. Obama were to be declared ineligible, there are several possible outcomes. They could remove him from office and install Joe Biden as President. The argument would be made that if Mr. Obama was not eligible to run for President, then the ticket is invalid as well and Joe Biden should not be Vice President. The next person in the order of succession would be Speaker of the House; Nancy Pelosi. Because no eligible candidate received a majority of electoral votes, the selection of the President could be thrown into the House. Speaker Nancy Pelosi, would then be king-maker. The choices are Joe Biden, Nancy Pelosi or someone Nancy Pelosi picks. Maybe it is best to leave the birth certificate matter alone.

Robert Jay March Responds:

Mr. Obama being declared ineligible does not legally invalidate Biden's election, provided he is qualified. Even if it did, the Constitution is too important to ignore; it is all that separates us from tyranny. Regardless of the consequences, if in fact Mr. Obama is ineligible, he must be removed. That said, all we have thus far is the preponderance of evidence leading to a likely conclusion, not conclusive facts. That is why the revelation of the long-form birth certificate is so important.

Finally, a third reader who wish to be referred to by the nom de plume "unihawker," writes:

Dear Mr. March, I was watching TV the other night and they showed a clip of Obama in Kenya during his trip there during the campaign. I am not sure if it was just some Freudian slip or not, but he said as he was waiving to the people greeting him, "Thank you, it is great to be back home". My question was, If he was not born in that country why would he call it home?

Robert Jay March Responds:

Good question, for which I have no answer. If this report is correct, it is yet another contribution to the preponderance of evidence that implies Mr. Obama is ineligible. A copy of the long form birth certificate would cost Mr. Obama $12; thus far he has spent $1.3 Million to avoid producing it. As in any investigation, follow the money: in this case, what money is being spent on to conceal.
