At the request of some of our readers, discerning and literate bunch that you all are, commencing with the May 1, 2008 issue we began archiving the March Report in a form suitable for presentation. Be advised that some of the links to external sites on the archived pages will have gone dead. Morte. Kaputski. That being the case, archives will be deleted, or replaced with an image of the headline area only, as the page itself becomes useless (assuming that it wasn't to begin with, which may be presumptuous in and of itself).

The Ritter family's four kids are staying at the mansion Thanksgiving weekend with the older two sons back from college. Before starting to clean some of it up, the First Lady also laughingly dismissed any concept that it was a political statement. Others guessed if the home had been egged or soaped, then the culprits would have been playing politics. ...

Rival Scientist Calls IBM Cat Brain Simulation A Scam

Jeffrey Burt -- eWEEK

Claims by an IBM researcher that he and other scientists were able to simulate a cat's brain using a new algorithm running on an IBM supercomputer are being disputed. Henry Markram, heading up another project called Blue Brain, calls the claims by IBM scientist Dharmendra Modha a scam and a hoax and argues that what Modha's group accomplished only proved that it had access to a massive supercomputer. ...

Does Second-Hand Smoke Really Void Apple's Warranty?

David Coursey -- PC World

Apple is apparently telling at least some customers that the amount of cigarette smoke residue inside their computers makes it unsafe for the company to perform warranty service on them, despite the lack of such a clause in the company's warranty agreement. My hope is Apple will read the stories that have begun to appear and stop this nonsense immediately. I suspect the stories about these incidents will encourage some money-hungry lawyer to find the aggrieved customers and get to the bottom of this. ...

Mercedes Bunz -- Guardian (UK)

The war of the search engines enters a new phase as Microsoft considers paying publishers to put their content on its search enging Bing -- presumably in the hope they will do as Ruper Murdoch has suggested and remove it from Google. But how much would this actually hurt Google? A recent German survey tried to determine what the effect on Google would be if most of the country's publishers removed their content from the search engine. ...

Certifi-Gate! America In Captivity

British Cop Who Spent His Life Investigating Organized Crime Now Focusing On Obama

Ed Pilkington -- Guardian (UK)

Neil Sankey's journey from having worked in some of the most elite police units in Britain to taking part in a movement dedicated to the investigation of Brack Obama may seem bizarre. Sankey contends that his police experience in England now informs his fight against Obama. "It's quite obvious to me -- America is heading towards a socialized state just as has happened in Europe. Socialized medicine, everyone on the dole, and when everything collapses you tip the scales into Marxism." He also believes his training in Scotland Yard is now reaping benefits for the "Birthers." The same techniques he used to analyse the IRA's associations he is now applying to Obama. Most recently, he carried out an exhaustive search of databases that he claims threw up 140 different identification numbers and addresses for "Barack Obama." While this article is written from the perspective of a debunker, it is worth reading for Sankey's perspective, and the facts he sets out. ...

We Stand At The Precipice, With A Usurper In The Oval Office

Lynn Stuter -- News With Views

We stand at the precipice of the totalitarian state with a man occupying the White House, usurping the Oval Office, who isn't an American; who has, by his own actions and words, declared himself a Marxist. The United States Congress, assembled, has refused to remove this usurper sitting illegitimately as our president. The United States Supreme Court, and lower courts, have refused to address the growing body of evidence that Barack Hussein Obama is not our legitimate president; going so far as to make the ludicrous claim that they cannot overturn the vote of millions, in essence saying that popular vote (if it could even be claimed to be uncorrupted) is above the law. ...

Michelle Contradicts Obama Nativity Story

Aaron Klein -- World Net Daily

In little noticed remarks, Michelle Obama stated at a public event that her husband's mother, Ann Dunham, was "very young and very single" when she gave birth to the future U.S. "president." Her comments further undermine the official story as told by Barack Obama: that Dunham was married to his father, Barack Obama Sr., at the time of birth. The official story claims Dunham and Obama, Sr. were married Feb. 2, 1961. The pair separated two years later and they divorced in 1964. Obama's father returned to Kenya and saw his son only once more before dying in an automobile accident in 1982. In actuality, it isn't clear Obama's parents were married, since official records have never been produced showing a legal ceremony took place. No wedding certificate or photograph of a ceremony for Dunham and Obama Sr. has ever been found or published. ...

Morgan Stanley Banker's Son Disappears In Frankfurt

Karin Matussek and Aaron Kirchfeld -- Bloomberg News

Devon Hollahan, 22, hasn't been seen since he was separated from a friend after attending a concert on the night of Nov. 20 in Frankfurt, according to a missing persons note on the police's Web site. The man is the son of Morgan Stanley banker Jeffrey Hollahan, police spokesman Andre Sturmeid said. Frankfurt has in recent years been rocked by kidnappings of family members of businessmen. The 11-year-old son of banker Friedrich von Metzler was kidnapped and killed in 2002. Jakub Fiszman, 40, was abducted and killed in the Frankfurt area in 1996. The killers in both cases tried to extort ransoms from the families, were caught and sentenced to life in prison. ...

Dubai Debt Troubles Push Down Stocks In U.S And Asia

Bettina Wassener -- New York Times

Wall Street turned sharply lower at the open on Friday, as traders scrambled to play catch-up after sharp downturns in Asian and European markets over the Thanksgiving holiday. Investors were spooked by reports that Dubai World, the emirate's investment vehicle, was seeking to suspend repayments on all or part of its $59 billion in debt. That pushed shares down more than 3 percent on European markets on Thursday; Asia markets posted similar declines on Friday. ...

RBS Led Dubai World Lenders; HSBC Most At Risk In UAE

Vivian Salama and Gavin Finch -- Bloomberg News

Royal Bank of Scotland Group Plc was the biggest underwriter of loans to Dubai World, the state company seeking to reschedule debt, while HSBC Holdings Plc has the most at risk in the United Arab Emirates, according to JPMorgan Chase & Co. HSBC, Europe's biggest bank, has the "largest absolute exposure" in the U.A.E. with $17 billion of loans in 2008, JPMorgan said, citing the Emirates Banks Association. Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank PJSC may be owed $1.9 billion by Dubai World, making it the largest creditor outside the emirate, said two people familiar with the companies. ...

"Dubai Model" Was The Vision Of One Man

Andrew Hammond -- Reuters

The city state's rapid growth revolved around the ruler Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al-Maktoum, who outlined his ideas in a book, "My Vision," where he suggested other Arab countries could replicate Dubai's success. Now the model -- always controversial among Gulf Arabs since it involved building shining cities in the desert at breakneck speed through the import of foreign residents, finance and labor -- is on the ropes. Questions will surface over what went wrong. ...

Epic Is A Triumph For John Woo

John Anderson -- Washington Post

"Red Cliff," reputed to be the most expensive Asian film ever made, is an epic, kinetic, frenetic, jaw-dropper of an action film -- a big ol' movie, the way "Lawrence of Arabia" was a big ol' movie. Into each Chinese auteur's life, it seems, a feudal epic will eventually fall, and this one is John Woo's. Set in the third century, "Red Cliff" is about the birth of a modern China, a subject of endless fascination to Chinese audiences, if recent film history is any indication. And it's a subject whose details are serpentine: Keeping track of who's who and what's what in "Red Cliff" is daunting at first, but it gets easier as the `characters take form, something Woo manages to do fairly effortlessly while killing off millions of extras. ...

March Report Podcast

News and Opinion Presented by Robert Jay March

52:36. Recorded
Friday, October 30, 2009
TOPICS DISCUSSED:

Is Glenn Beck a Hero, a Coward ... or BOTH?

Indisputibly, Glenn Beck has provided heroic service to this country on his radio and cable-tv program by exposing the unconstitutional socialization of the United States by the Obama Administration. That said, it appears that he has caved to pressure regarding Certifi-Gate, the occupation of the White House by a constitutionally ineligible electee. Robert Jay March thoroughly analyzes this, exposing the pressures that he and other on-air talent have had placed them by corporate honchos who care more about their profits than our country.
Fox News was set up by Roger Ailes, a former president of CNBC and the late, lamented America's Talking Network, the pre-cursor of MSNBC. March discusses the hidden motivation behind Ailes' building of Fox News into the only television news operation that is not a press-release service for the Obama Administration, not to mention crushing MSNBC and CNN. Do you think the execs at GE are wishing they could turn the clock back?
What does the late, unlamented Hernando Cortés have to do with MarchReport.com? Robert Jay March explains the two-month gap since his last podcast, as he worked behind the scenes to make MarchReport.com bigger and better, while burning all his other boats behind him. March describes how he came to be disabled and home-bound eight years ago, yet continued to work 100 to 120 hours a week running two businesses throughout it all.
Manuel Zelaya, the deposed President of Honduras, who was legally removed from office in accordance with the Honduran Constitution, is being returned to office as a result of pressure from the Obama administration. Hmmm ... they pressured the Honduran Government to restore a President who had violated their Constitution and been legally removed from office. Wonder why? March thinks he knows.

Obama's Game Plan: Roadmap To Enforced Socialism

James Simpson -- American Thinker

Richard Cloward and Frances Fox Piven were two lifelong members of Democratic Socialists of America who taught sociology at Columbia University (Piven later went on to City University of New York). In a May 1966 Nation magazine article titled "The Weight of the Poor," they outlined their strategy, proposing to use grassroots radical organizations to push ever more strident demands for public services at all levels of government. The result, they predicted, would be "a profound financial and political crisis" that would unleash "powerful forces ... for major economic reform at the national level." It is that strategy we see unfolding before us, led by Barack Obama. ...

Barack Obama Admits He Will Miss Guantanamo Closing Deadline; Calls Stimulus Data Errors 'Side Issue'

Barack Obama brushed off criticism over his administration's inaccurate reporting on job creation Wednesday, telling Fox News' Major Garrett the accounting is an "inexact science" and that any errors are a "side issue" when compared with the goal of turning the economy around. Obama Intel Pick Lauded Iranian Nuclear Program As 'Deterrent' Against Israel

Aaron Klein -- World Net Daily

The Obama administration's withdrawn nominee for a top intelligence post delivered a speech to a pro-Arab U.S. group in which he claimed that Israel has long assassinated peace-loving Palestinian leaders. Freeman was slated to head the National Intelligence Council but withdrew his nomination in March following revelations that he has financial ties to the infamous bin Laden family and that he sits on the board of a major oil company owned by the Chinese government that had been in the midst of a multibillion dollar deal with Iran that may violate U.S. sanctions. Mike Bates -- News Busters

In his remarks about the Fort Hood shootings, Barack Obama did it again, illustrating the dangers of his giving shout outs without a teleprompter. "I want to thank my Cabinet members and senior administration officials who participated today. I hear that Dr. Joe Medicine Crow was around, and so I want to give a shout out to that Congressional Medal of Honor winner. It's good to see you," Obama said.  "Cap And Trade Is Dead"

Kimberley A. Strassel -- Wall Street Journal

So declares Oklahoma Sen. Jim Inhofe, taking a few minutes away from a Thanksgiving retreat with his family. "Ninety-five percent of the nails were in the coffin prior to this week. Now they are all in." This week he's looking prescient. The more than 3,000 emails and documents from the University of East Anglia's Climate Research Unit (CRU) that have found their way to the Internet have blown the lid off the "science" of manmade global warming. ...

After engineering an unprecedented spending surge for nearly a year, Barack Obama now wants to signal that he takes deficits seriously. What seems to concern the president is not the problem runaway spending poses for taxpayers and the economy. Rather, what bothers him is the political problem it poses for Democrats. ...

Michelle Obama 'Racist' Picture That Is Topping Google Images Removed

Mark Sweney -- Guardian (UK)

A blog hosting an offensive image of Michelle Obama with monkey features has removed it and posted an apology. The image, which has been appearing at the top of search results when the words "Michelle Obama" are put into Google Images, was posted on a blog called Hot Girls, which is hosted by the Google-owned blog service Blogger. Hot Girls' owner has today removed the image, which appears to have originally been put up with a blog post on 21 October last year, and displayed an apology in Chinese with a very loose English translation.
Editor's Note: MarchReport.com located the image, with the intent of using it to illustrate this story; however, the image was so offensive that we could not use it, as it exceeded any reasonable standard of political satire. There is no place for racism in political discourse, and this image served no purpose other than to demean Mrs. Obama based on her race. As such, it speaks volumes about the creator of it, and contributes nothing to the debate regarding the Obama's policies. ---RJM ...

Phyllis Schlafly Says "Congress Must Stop The Trial In New York City"

Phyllis Schlafly -- Townhall.com

Our Constitution's framers foresaw the probability that power-hungry men would try to take over the judiciary. So, they gave us the tools to maintain a government based on the separation of powers. We don't need any 2,000-page legislation -- a single sentence will suffice. "Federal district courts shall have no jurisdiction over any case involving unlawful enemy combatants, as that term is defined in the United States Code (Title 10, Section 948a)." Constitutional authority is clear. Article III, Section I, states, "The judicial power of the United States, shall be vested in one Supreme Court, and in such inferior Courts as the Congress may from time to time ordain and establish." Nothing is new or irregular about Congress prescribing or limiting the kinds of cases that federal courts are permitted to hear. ...

Hacked E-Mails Expose Global Warming Fraudsters

Andrew C. Revkin -- New York Times

Hundreds of private e-mail messages and documents hacked from a computer server at a British university are causing a stir among global warming skeptics, who say they show that climate scientists conspired to overstate the case for a human influence on climate change. Some skeptics asserted Friday that the correspondence revealed an effort to withhold scientific information. "This is not a smoking gun; this is a mushroom cloud," said Patrick J. Michaels, a climatologist who has long faulted evidence pointing to human-driven warming and is criticized in the documents. ...

"IPCC Elite Embarrassingly, If Not Criminally, Compromised"

Rebecca Terrell And Ed Hiserodt -- New American Magazine

Among the IPCC elite embarrassingly, if not criminally, compromised is Phillip D. Jones, a Ph.D. climatologist at the University of East Anglia whose work figured prominently in the IPCC Third Assessment Report of 2001. Jones also contributed significantly to the IPCC Fourth Assessment Report in 2007 (AR4), but he failed to follow through when skeptical investigators asked to review raw data associated with that report. They announced intent to use UK Freedom of Information laws to obtain the data, so Jones sent the following e-mail to one of his collaborators: "Mike, Can you delete any e-mails you may have had with Keith re AR4? Keith will do likewise.... Can you also e-mail Gene and get him to do the same?... Will be getting Caspar to do likewise." The Mike in this message is Michael Mann, professor of meteorology at Pennsylvania State University, whose influential "hockey stick" graph warning of pending global warming eco-catastrophe was found by a congressional investigation to be fraudulent. In another correspondence about AR4 labeled HIGHLY CONFIDENTIAL, Jones contacted Mann regarding research critical of their global warming platform. "I can't see either of these papers being in the next IPCC report," wrote Jones. "Kevin and I will keep them out somehow -- even if we have to redefine what the peer-review literature is!" ...

How Freeing Seven of Nine, Tertiary Adjunct of Unimatrix Zero-One From The Borg Collective Provoked a Constitutional Crisis On 21st-Century Earth
... or ...
Bait for the "Birther"-debunkers

by Robert Jay March

Actress Jeri Ryan, best known to the American public as "Seven of Nine" on the series "Star Trek -- Voyager," is responsible for the whole mess. No, I haven't taken leave of my senses ... not yet anyway ... as the following narrative will show.

In 1990, then-Jeri Lynn Zimmermann met future political candidate Jack Ryan, married him on June 15, 1991, and ultimately divorced him on August 27, 1999. When Jack Ryan was running for the Senate on the Republican ticket in 2004, WLS-TV, the Chicago ABC affiliate, sought to have his divorce and child custody records released. In print, if it bleeds it leads; on TV, if it skewers, it attracts viewers.

When the custody records were released after a protracted court battle, it was revealed that Jack Ryan had repeatedly asked, begged and cajoled Jeri to perform sexual acts in public in various sex clubs. Ms. Ryan described one of these clubs as "a bizarre club with cages, whips and other apparatus hanging from the ceiling." Obviously not a "family values" kind of guy, Jack Ryan's poll numbers were plummeting faster than an ejected warp-core falling into a black hole. He was force to withdraw from the race, and was replaced by Alan Keyes, who lost to ... wait for it ... Barack Obama!

Barack Obama's very first act as "President" made it illegal to release any of his records. "EXECUTIVE ORDER 13489 -- PRESIDENTIAL RECORDS," signed by Barack Obama on January 21, 2009, begins as follows: "By the authority vested in me as President by the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America ..."

As I have said over and over and over again, if there is nothing to hide, why hide it? Yet, the very first thing he did as alleged-President was sign an Executive Order that locks all of his records -- including his personal ones -- away from public view. This leaves us in a legal mobius loop: If his personal records prove that he is ineligible, then he is not President, and the Executive Order is null and void, but in order to prove that he is ineligible, one must have access to his personal records. Quoting the eminent philosopher Homer Simpson,
   "DOH!"

It is interesting to note that, in the private sector, Obama was employed by the law firm of Miner, Barnhill & Galland, which describes itself as "one of the best-known and most experienced firms in the country in large-scale voting rights cases." As such, they have done extensive Constitutional research, such as that cited in a case wherein Obama was one of the lawyers representing ACORN, ACORN V. EDGAR.

It is rumored that Miner, Barnhill & Galland also researched ways and means of getting around Article II Section 1 of the Constitution ("No person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President...") Now, read that Executive Order again.

If only Jeri had let her hubby get his freak on, the nation may have been spared all of this; but nooooooo, she left us with a typically-Republican sex scandal (two straight people and no sex) which ultimately led to a Constitutionally unqualified man being elected President.

By now, many of you are asking yourselves why I even bothered to write about this. Simple: half the country believes that Obama is not legally qualified, and the other half simply has not looked at the evidence, assuming we're all nuts, racists, or both.

Those people won't be able to resist reading this article: It embarrasses Republicans, it involves science fiction, has sex, intrigue, and a gorgeous woman whose talents let her rise to the top (or vice versa). They'll pass this around as evidence that the "Birthers" have finally lost it; and, a very few of them will be intrigued enough to actually check the facts, just as I did when I did not believe it, and realize that we're right.

Resistance is futile. It just takes a while.

Obama's Manager: FOX News-Ready

Mark Silva -- The Swamp

In the cause of a certain book's promotion, it appears, a waiver is being granted in the White House's war with FOX News. That book is Obama campaign manager David Plouffe's The Audacity to Win: The Inside Story and Lessons of Barack Obama's Historic Victory. For whatever complaints that Plouffe has about FOX, it appears, Greta Van Susteren's regular audience of about 2 million viewers is too much to resist in an inevitable book promotional tour of the networks. ...

The Book Of Genesis, Illustrated By R. Crumb

Henry Allen -- Washington Post

The words come from both the King James Version and a recent translation by Robert Alter. The pictures come from Crumb's pen, the same sort of art pen that he's done all of his life's work with -- all of it, no pastels, watercolors, pencil, just this pen scritching away for half a century in a fury of crosshatching and black-and-white starkness. God said . . . R. Crumb? Here they are, together at last on the first page of this book, Crumb drawing God as if he were a madman inventor, beard and hair down to his ankles, and the whites of his eyes showing over the tops of his irises and his hairy, thick-fingered hands grasping what looks like a combination of a circle saw and a black hole, "without form, and void."

Rants & Raves from Our Readers

A reader who wishes to remain anonymous sent in this criticism:

Mr. March, You linked the video of Hillary Clinton having what has been referred to as an 'outburst' on your site, yet, you did not explain the context. You omitted the truth and presented the situation as another crazy Clinton moment. You not only misportrayed the situation, you lost an opportunity to share/address the plight of women who have no rights in their country. I have been a long time reader of your March Report and have shared the Report with many people. I wrote to you addressing the Clinton video and have seen no retraction or explanation. I won't be referring anyone to this page anymore. My belief and trust that you maintain objectivity and research all sides has been permanently altered recently. Consevative or not, you have always seemed to work at being fair and true to journalism. I now am seeing you differently.

Robert Jay March Responds:

This reader has mischaracterized the report. In fact, we went out of way to add clarity to the situation. The copy proved by WMAQ-TV, the televsion station which provide the report through one of our syndicators, said "A Congolese university student seems to presume that Bill Clinton's opinion is more important than the current Secretary of State's." In order to portray the situation accurately, we rewrote the copy to read as follows (emphasis added): "As a result of a translator's error, a Congolese university student appears to presume that Bill Clinton's opinion is more important than the current Secretary of State's. Hillary explodes, and hilarity ensues. Oh, those wacky, wacky Clintons." That was all the information that was available on August 11, 2009, when we ran the story. Witty retort aside, we went out of our way to clarify the report. Further details from the State Department and the White House did not become available until the following day.

Another reader, who wish to be referred to by the nom de plume "Needles," has an unusual take on the Certifi-Gate crisis:

The birthers need to step back and consider the consequences of their actions. If Mr. Obama were to be declared ineligible, there are several possible outcomes. They could remove him from office and install Joe Biden as President. The argument would be made that if Mr. Obama was not eligible to run for President, then the ticket is invalid as well and Joe Biden should not be Vice President. The next person in the order of succession would be Speaker of the House; Nancy Pelosi. Because no eligible candidate received a majority of electoral votes, the selection of the President could be thrown into the House. Speaker Nancy Pelosi, would then be king-maker. The choices are Joe Biden, Nancy Pelosi or someone Nancy Pelosi picks. Maybe it is best to leave the birth certificate matter alone.

Robert Jay March Responds:

Mr. Obama being declared ineligible does not legally invalidate Biden's election, provided he is qualified. Even if it did, the Constitution is too important to ignore; it is all that separates us from tyranny. Regardless of the consequences, if in fact Mr. Obama is ineligible, he must be removed. That said, all we have thus far is the preponderance of evidence leading to a likely conclusion, not conclusive facts. That is why the revelation of the long-form birth certificate is so important.

Finally, a third reader who wish to be referred to by the nom de plume "unihawker," writes:

Dear Mr. March, I was watching TV the other night and they showed a clip of Obama in Kenya during his trip there during the campaign. I am not sure if it was just some Freudian slip or not, but he said as he was waiving to the people greeting him, "Thank you, it is great to be back home". My question was, If he was not born in that country why would he call it home?

Robert Jay March Responds:

Good question, for which I have no answer. If this report is correct, it is yet another contribution to the preponderance of evidence that implies Mr. Obama is ineligible. A copy of the long form birth certificate would cost Mr. Obama $12; thus far he has spent $1.3 Million to avoid producing it. As in any investigation, follow the money: in this case, what money is being spent on to conceal.
